Who doesn’t love a hero or a heroine? If you love to read comics and graphic novels, here are a few shows from DC and Marvel that should be on your list!
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel (ABC)
We first encountered S.H.I.E.L.D in The Avengers. The Director Coulson and Company became so popular that a tv series was spun-off.
Gotham, DC (Fox)
One of the first DC shows on the list, Gothan features a young Jim Gordon as he rises in the ranks from detective to the storied Commissioner of Gotham. The show also features a young Bruce Wayne along with origins of Catwoman, The Penquin and more.
Arrow , DC (CW)
One of the DC shows out there. Featuring Stephen Amell, David Ramsey and John Barrowman, the show not only showed how Oliver Queen became the Green Arrow, but also help spwan several spin-offs.
The Flash, DC (CW)
Literally the BEST DC show currently out there is The Flash. Starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, this show is jam-packed full of action and fun.
Jessica Jones, Marvel (Netflix)
This female with the superhuman strength premiered last year on Netflix and is currently in its second season. The show features Krysten Ritter in the title role.
Luke Cage, Marvel (Netflix)
Season One of this show recently dropped on Netflix. This is his origin story. Cage possesses superhuman strength and an ability to heal quickly. Mike Colter plays the title role.
Daredevil, Marvel (Netflix)
This show is an origin story about Matt Murdock. Attorney by day, blind vigilante by night. Charlie Cox plays Murdock.
Legends of Tomorrow, DC (CW)
In this spinoff of The Flash and Arrow, we have a bunch of rogue travelers who go through time solving crimes. Featuring Victor Garber, Brandon Routh and Dominic Purcell.
Supergirl, DC (CW)
In its second season, the origin story featuring Superman’s cousin will feature some appearances from the Man of Steel himself.
